Why I Coach

From high school on, I knew that I was born to be a teacher. After spending so much time in baseball (20 years) and getting to play at the highest level of College Baseball and two years of Professional Baseball, I knew I was going to specifically be a teacher in baseball. I was so blessed to have amazing servant leaders as coaches and that greatly impacted my life on and off the field. The greatest blessing for any athlete is not the natural talent they have been given, but the incredible leaders that have been placed in their lives to help develop them to their fullest potential. My life’s work is to be that servant leader who will bless and develop athletes to become incredible athletes and incredible people.

Words I live by

If you want to separate yourself in life (as an athlete, as a person) you have to prepare better than everyone else. Consistency is king and serving others is the greatest calling.

“Life is short, I want to live it well.” – Switchfoot
