Turn 2 Baseball & Softball Training is seeking the position of Softball Development Lead. Turn 2 is the premier baseball and softball training facility in the St. Louis Metro East. Turn 2 provides skill training in all areas of baseball and softball (hitting, pitching, defense, baserunning, etc.) for all ages (5 yrs. – college & pro athletes). Turn 2 also provides performance training for athletes.

The Turn 2 Softball Development Lead will report to the Turn 2 General Manager. The Turn 2 Softball Development Lead will be responsible for the growth of softball training within Turn 2 and the Metro East as a whole. The Softball Development Lead will oversee all aspects of softball training and growth initiatives. This will include but not limited too....

  • The creation and launch of programs

  • Marketing of programs and growth initiatives

  • Fulfillment of training programs

  • Curriculum development

  • Staff management

  • IHSA, MSHSAA, NCAA, & NAIA compliance

  • Secondary responsibilities assigned by the General Manager

The overall goal for this candidate will be to encouraging softball growth and excellence through training and relationship building. Candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and passionate about the game of softball and its impact on development young women on and off the field. Candidate must also possess strong customer service skills. Candidate must be involved in the softball community outside of the walls of Turn 2 (i.e. high school coach, college coach, club coach, etc.)

A minimum of 4 years of sports administration and 4 years relevant coaching experience is required for the Turn 2 Softball Development Lead. A bachelor’s degree is required. This is a full-time salary position.

  1. Teach and provide significant knowledge on a variety of skills related to fastpitch softball including, but not limited to: hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, and catching, as well as offensive and defensive strategies.

  2. Provide a positive and motivating atmosphere for all staff members, athletes, and families

  3. Ensure that Turn 2 training curriculum and protocols are followed

  4. Ensure that continuity present amongst all representatives of Turn 2 Softball Training

  5. Involvement in the local softball community

  6. Collaborate and develop effective training protocols and curriculum

  7. Possess above average communication skills

  8. Follow direction as set forth by General Manage

  9. Grow the interest in softball training and the game of softball overall

  10. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  11. Must be able to work both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions
